Phi Brows
We offer a complimentary 20 minute consultation to get you started on your new brow journey!
We will begin with your consultation- this is where we will find out exactly what it is you’re trying to achieve with your brows, and for you to get to know your brow therapist Shauna. Any question you might have, will be answered throughout the full process.
Phi Brows are a two-step treatment, this is to ensure you have the perfect brow that can last up to 18 months!
The treatment is done by using a bladed pen and an animal cruelty free pigment which can be customised to every individual clients hair colour, which is what helps create the natural hair like strokes on the skin.
Brow maintenance can still be done post phi brows.
In your first treatment this is where your official shaping and mapping of the brow is done, this is to the bone structure of your face so everyone’s will be different.
Once that is done we then go in with the strokes! Once the first treatment is completed you’ll then rebook for your follow up appointment.
This is just a touch up appointment is 4 weeks after your first treatment and it’s to make sure the brows are perfect!
Consultations are complimentary.
Phi Brows FAQ
The treatment is broken down into 2 sessions. At your first session, the treatment begins with a full in depth consultation. During this consultation your phi artist will measure out the correct brow shape for you according to the morphology of your face. Symmetry is calculated using PhiBrows application. It is calculated while the clients’ eyes are closed because in that way mimetic muscles that can affect eyebrows’ symmetry are relaxed. The artist will design the shape using brow pencil, allowing you to see the shape before starting the phi treatment. Once you’re happy with your new prospect shape, the phi treatment will begin. Treatment is done by using sterile and disposable tools, while pigments are of the highest standard Strokes are always drawn in the direction of natural hair growth in order to achieve hyper-realistic eyebrow look.
The second session is done 4 weeks after the initial treatment, 10-15% of strokes are lost after the first treatment so this session will correct any missing or faded areas. The fresh pigment can be intense during the first 5 days. Between days 5-10 however, it loses up to 40% of its intensity. If you think that pigment is too dark, do not try to fade it by yourself. Be patient, it will fade naturally.
For how long the pigment will be retained mostly depends on the skin oiliness. The oilier the skin is the shorter pigment retention is. Sweating and sun exposure also affect pigment retention. If the skin is problematic and oily, several corrections may be required.
In order to successfully perform the treatment, the skin must not be damaged or have eczema, seborrheic dermatitis, acne, pimples or any damage in the eyebrows area.
Pain during the treatment is relative. A lot of clients compare the pain with plucking or threading their eyebrows. It is slightly uncomfortable for the first few minutes but then we use light anesthetic after we’ve gone through the brows once and this will completely eliminate pain during the treatment.
No, if you are pregnant or breastfeeding you can’t get this treatment done. Also if you are on certain medications or suffer with problematic skin through the brow area, you may not be a suitable candidate.
Clients with extremely oily skin should be aware that they will require top-up’s much sooner than someone with normal skin type.
Success of the treatment depends on the following:
- skin quality
- post-treatment care
- exposure to various external influences
